Abrakadoodle Case Study Summary
Abrakadoodle is an art education franchise system with locations throughout the United States. Abrakadoodle began working with SEO Komodo in August 2007. We met with Abrakadoodle’s marketing and franchise development personnel so that we fully understood their unique business requirements and online marketing objectives. Following this meeting SEO Komodo began the comprehensive analysis phase of the campaign. Below is a short summary of our findings.
Prior to implementing an SEO strategy Abrakadoodle.com:
- Received only a small amount of non-paid traffic from the search engines.
- Was not a strong source of new franchise leads.
- Received little to no traffic from location specific search queries.
- Ranked poorly for core business keyword phrases (art classes for kids, art parties, art franchise, and art camps).
We completed our analysis of Abrakadoodle.com in approximately 6 weeks and then moved to implement our recommended changes to the website. Positive results of the campaign were seen within 1-2 weeks week after initial website changes were made.
Non-paid traffic from search engines: August 1st – November 15th, 2007
Abrakadoodle’s SEO campaign has successfully addressed the challenges outlined above:
- Non-paid search engine traffic has grown by 200-300%
- Franchise information requests have grown from a trickle to a steady stream
- Abrakadoodle.com now receives traffic from hundreds of different location specific search queries e.g.: “art classes in Birmingham Alabama” and “art classes in dupage county”
- Abrakadoodle.com now ranks well for a diverse group of core business keyword phrases.
