What is a Widget?

A widget is a mini-application that can be installed on any webpage or blog. It is a portable piece of web content that is easy and inexpensive to develop. A widget enables businesses or individuals to quickly disseminate content through the blogosphere and social networks such as Facebook.

Abrakadoodle Widgets

Below are two widgets that we developed for Abrakadoodle. The widgets were developed to meet two primary business objectives: increase brand awareness and generate class enrollments for individual franchise locations. The Matisse Artist Widget was uploaded on February 21, 2008 and currently has over 1,000 subscriptions through Widgetbox. The Graffiti Artist Widget was uploaded on April 7, 2008 and has over 750 subscriptions. Both widgets can be uploaded to numerous web platforms including Facebook, MySpace, Blogger, Wordpress, and IGoogle.
